Czech Environmental Partnership Foundation was established in 1991 by U.S. funders. Now it is an independent organization based in Brno, branch in Prague, Czech Republic. Current fields of activities of the Foundation are aimed at green spaces – strong public involvement, urban spaces – local centers pedestrian needs, development of tools for successful public participation, development of measures for sustainable neigbourhoods/cities, sustainable built environment of cities, towns and villages.

Nový Lískovec is a city district on an outskirt of Brno city. Majority of the city district inhabitants lives in high density prefabricated blocks of flats built in 1985-1995. Statutory city of Brno is owner of the most of urban public spaces in Brno. City district has overhanded competences by status of the city to maintenance of urban public spaces in area of city district.
